Wet your Whistle with Whiskey

Whiskey is naturally warming, so they make the perfect base for a winter warmer cocktail. Which one will you try first?

Van-berry Old Fashion

The classic old fashion is getting a festive reboot with classic vanilla and cranberry tones.

For this, you will need

–          3 ounces of whiskey

–          1-ounce cranberry syrup

–          3 drops of Angostura Bitters

This fabulous old fashion is so simple to make, just pour the ingredients over ice in a highball glass, give it a mix and enjoy! If you fancy giving the cocktail a bit more of the “wow” factor try rimming the glass with a lime and roll in demerara sugar.

A touch of Maple

Maple syrup and Cinnamon are two flavours that always work well together, even reading them your mouth begins to water. Now imagine those flavours in a whiskey sour!

For this cocktail, you will need

–          1 ½ ounce of your favourite whiskey

–          1-ounce fresh lemon juice

–          2 to 4 teaspoons of maple syrup – amount based on how much you love the sweet stuff!

–          A pinch of cinnamon

In a cocktail shaker, add all of the ingredients and ice, then get to work shaking it up! Pour over fresh ice and enjoy!

 

Give us some Figgy Whiskey

Nothing screams Christmas like figs! This cocktail will be a winner with any Christmas lover.

For this, you will need

–          2 ounces of whiskey

–          0.5 ounces of fig jam

–          3 dashes of Orange Bitters

–          3 dashes of Angostura Bitters

Pop all of the ingredients into a mixing glass along with ice, give it a good stir and pour over a single ice cube in a rock glass! Everyone will think this cocktail has had a lot of work put into it, when in fact it couldn’t be simpler!
