Calling all gin lovers, we have found your new obsession. Pickering’s Gin has shot its way into our top gin of choice and won one of our Regional Gold awards for their Figgy Pudding Gin, so let us introduce you to them!

Pickering’s Gin started its sensational journey in 2013, being the first exclusive gin distillery to be established in Edinburgh for over 150 years. It all started as the founders, Matt and Marcus, stumbled across a derelict dog kennels. Combine the intense feeling to not let this go to waste, with the gin recipe Marcus had just received from his late father, and you have the bases for a multi-award-winning gin!

It didn’t matter to them that they didn’t have a distillery. They rolled up their sleeves and built one from scratch. It equally didn’t matter that Matt and Marcus were engineers, not gin makers! They tried, tested, and experimented until they were experts. This is the passion and dedication you can taste with every sip.

Fast forward to today, Pickering’s Gin has over 10 varieties for you to choose from. We absolutely love the Sloe Gin, team it with a dash of fizz and soak in all of those beautiful cherry tones. Alternatively, you can’t go wrong with the 3 Queens Triple Tipple, which features sample sizes of the three smoothest gins. This is a great way to try the gin and find your favourite.

Pickering’s Gin love what they do and want to share that passion with you, so even offer tours of the stunning Summerhall Distillery where all the magic happens! ! A Pickering’s Gin tour is a pure treat. You are greeted with a G&T when you arrive, spend 90 minutes exploring the unique distilling processes before marvelling at the contraptions in the Old Workshop. The tour is wrapped up with a taste testing of three of Pickering’s award-winning gins! The team at Pickering’s Gin are the friendliest bunch, who make you feel like family.
